Housing society’s office raided, documents seized
Kanadia police along with cooperative society officials on Tuesday raided office of central government officers grih nirman samiti at Vijay Nagar. “We have seized documents related to the membership, elections. The president of the cooperation is absconding, so he has been removed from the post. An administrator Pradeep Chouhan, senior cooperative inspector has been appointed on the post by the administration and society,” said Kanadia police station in charge RD Kanwa. He said that the lock was broken and documents were seized. Meanwhile, during public hearing one Sunny Lashkari approached officials and claimed that he was also duped by Bobby Chhabra. His documents are being looked into, said the police. Chhabra was arrested on February 14 under Indore police's Operation Clean-Up - a drive against land mafia in the city. Chhabra was on the top in the administration’s list of land sharks. He became chairman in around a dozen housing cooperative societies and sold plots meant for its members to someone else. He is currently on Kanadia police remand.
